As traveling is one of my passiona, today I decided to write about a wonderful city, which I have visited many times: Istanbul is a city which is located in the Bosporus Strait which separates Europe and Asia, between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea, a city in which the Turkish language is spoken and most of its inhabitants are Muslims. Istanbul has a significant number of visitors per year, due to the majesty of its structures, history and emblematic places which incite tourists to put this city in their top list of places to visit. Although there are so many places that you should visit while you are in Istanbul, today I want to share with you my top 3 list of the places that have impacted me the most and which I do not stop visiting every time I return to the city.

1. HAGIA SOPHIA

Hagia Sophia was built in the 360 AD initially as an Orthodox basilica, which over the years was converted into a museum until 2020 when the country authorities decided to turn it again into a mosque.

Hagia Sophia is without a doubt one of the best places to worship in Istanbul and the

Credits are given to the Byzantine emperor for its construction. It has been demolished and rebuilt many times for several reasons and due to conflicts of the epoch but despite the changes made by each emperor today we can see a place that will undoubtedly leave us speechless. This ancient basilica is located in one of the most visited places by tourists since in this area we can also find : the Blue mosque - Sultan Ahmet, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern etc... Places which you could also visit to have more knowledge of the history of the beautiful city of Istanbul.

2. DOLMABAÇHE PALACE

Which is located a few minutes from the main square of the city "taksim" on the European coast of the Bosporus, this palace served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1853 to 1922, exempting a period of 20 years (1889 - 1909 ) in which it was used as Yıldız's palace.

I have had the opportunity to visit more than 20 countries, many palaces and the most representative places of each city but this palace will undoubtedly remain in my mind forever since in addition to having visited it with one of my best friends, its majesty, gold, red and white colors make the perfect combination to capture the attention of anyone who is inside it, every detail and everything inside it make this place just perfect, In addition to this, at the back of the Dolmabache palace we will find the perfect view of the Bosporus Strait and the so representative bridge of the city of Istanbul which divides two continents, where we can also take the perfect photo for the memories of our photo album.

I assure you that since you arrive at the place you fall in love, and you will want to photograph everything around it, I hope that if you have the opportunity to go to Istanbul, do not miss the opportunity to see that palace since your time there will be incredible and unforgettable

3. ORTAKÖY

Ortaköy was a cosmopolitan area during the Ottoman era and the first decades Turkish Republic, with communities of Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Jews. Nowadays it is the perfect place to visit where you also won't have to pay absolutely nothing to have a spectacular view of the Bosporus bridge and I personally believe that it is the perfect spot to get the best photograph which would be the envy of all your friends. In addition to this, you will also find art galleries, clubs, restaurants and cafés with the best views of the city.

In Ortaköy is also the best place to try the famous Kumpir, which is basically a whole baked potato which you can fill with the ingredients you prefer, giving us the possibility of creating a dish to our liking, And if you are a waffle lover, this is also the perfect place to enjoy delicious waffles with the best views ... And you, what are you waiting for to visit ortakoy?
